The fragrance
TOP opens with a blood orange that isn't the cheerful orange of summer colognes. Here it comes wrapped in nutmeg and black pepper, and the effect is immediate: warm, spicy, with that hint of friction that makes you bring your wrist to your nose a second time. The first few minutes already tell you this isn't just any everyday perfume — it's a perfume of presence.
The heart is where the composition gains weight. Labdanum — that dark resin, almost leather — crosses paths with patchouli and a stroke of clary sage that adds an aromatic, slightly ambery nuance, stopping everything from becoming dense too soon. It's the most elegant phase of the perfume: serious without being old-fashioned, spicy without being aggressive.
And the base is where you'll want to stay. Enveloping amber, a sweet, cured tobacco and vetiver that gives structure and keeps it from becoming cloying. On skin it lasts hours, and on clothing, days. It evokes The One Pour Homme Parfum, the most intense, nocturnal version of one of the most recognisable men's classics of the last two decades — in an interpretation made for anyone who wants that same sillage without paying for the label.

The original, in perspective
The One by Dolce & Gabbana has been synonymous with Italian masculine elegance since 2008. The Parfum version, launched at the end of 2025 and signed by perfumer Jean-Christophe Hérault, takes that DNA into more ambery, spicy territory: more night, more winter, more intent.
