The fragrance
DIX opens with the saline accord that has become the signature of this whole line — that marine-mineral note, slightly salty, evoking skin after a swim in the sea. It is joined by lemon peel, which brings a brief citrus sparkle and keeps the opening fresh before the heart takes over. The first 15-20 minutes are distinctive: salty, luminous, with a hint of iodine that makes the perfume seem to settle "closer" to the skin from the very start.
The heart is where DIX moves away from the original it follows on from. Tuberose appears in its most lavish form: creamy, intense, almost narcotic. It is accompanied by ylang-ylang — a yellow tropical flower that adds a very recognisable creamy, banana-like touch — and jasmine sambac, the night-blooming jasmine, deeper and less luminous than the classic one. This white floral trio feels dense and voluptuous. The salt from the opening lingers as an echo that stops the whole from becoming cloying.
And the base is where the perfume truly settles. Three things happen at once here: a warm, creamy vanilla, a meringue that adds the "golden sugar" touch so characteristic of the whole Divine line, and a tonka bean that adds its almond-tobacco-vanilla signature. Underneath, a discreet patchouli gives structure and longevity without muddying the whole. The result evokes sun-kissed, tanned skin with cream, salt and warm pastries — a very specific image that made the original one of the most talked-about launches of 2025.

The original, in perspective
DIX is inspired by Divine Elixir, the oriental flanker of the Divine line launched in 2025 and signed by perfumer Quentin Bisch. It keeps the family's saline-floral signature but turns towards a warmer, gourmand register: the creamy tuberose in the heart is complemented by ylang-ylang and jasmine sambac, and the oriental base is built on vanilla, tonka bean, meringue and patchouli — the result is a denser, more nocturnal and more indulgent version than the original Divine.
The original bottle retails at over 110 € for the 100 ml EDP. DIX gives you a composition built on the same olfactory structure — saline opening, white floral heart with tuberose and ylang, gourmand-oriental base — made in Spain, without the layers of celebrity campaigns and refillable packaging that multiply the price of the original. The difference is more than 85 € per 100 ml bottle.
When and how
DIX is clearly more of an evening-and-night perfume than a morning one. It works best when the temperature drops a little and the warmth of your skin brings out the creaminess of the tuberose, the sweetness of the meringue and the warmth of the tonka. It is at its best in autumn and winter; in spring it works if you apply it with a light hand; in summer it can feel a little dense in the middle of the day — although some people wear it precisely in August for the "sun-kissed tanned skin" association it evokes.
Two sprays are enough — one on the neck, another on the inner wrist — and it lasts between 7 and 9 hours on skin. If you already know and wear DIV (the original Divine), DIX is the winter option: same olfactory family, warmer, more intimate and more gourmand. They also work well layered — the original as a light base, DIX as a deeper layer for the evening.
