The fragrance
MOA opens with a burst of luminous mandarin — a juicy, almost candied citrus that, in this context, works almost like a deceptive promise. For the first 10-15 minutes the opening feels clear, bright, almost familiar. But underneath you can already sense the darkness to come: there's a mineral, slightly medicinal echo that hints at the perfume's true character.
The heart is where MOA shifts gear decisively. Patchouli appears in its densest form — earthy, slightly chocolatey, with that resinous signature only good-quality patchouli delivers. It's a confident, unapologetic patchouli that acts as a hinge between the citrus freshness of the opening and the woody depth of the base. This transition is one of the hallmarks of the original perfume.
And the base is where it all makes sense. Oud (agarwood), myrrh and French labdanum — three resinous raw materials that build a dense, smoky oriental architecture with an almost sacred quality. The oud here isn't the fierce oud of some Arabian houses; it's a polished, refined oud, approachable for anyone who has never worn one. Myrrh adds its creamy-resinous signature with an echo of incense, and labdanum (cistus) closes with a leathery-balsamic note. The whole has authority, yet it's never aggressive.

The original, in perspective
The original bottle costs around 180 € in selective perfumeries. MOA gives you a composition built on the same olfactory structure — luminous mandarin, dense patchouli, a base of oud + myrrh + labdanum — made in Spain, without the layers of exclusive packaging and select distribution that multiply the price of the original. When and how
MOA is clearly an autumn-winter perfume. It works best when the cold holds back the projection and lets the oud and myrrh settle gradually on skin and clothes. In spring it works if you apply it with a light hand; in summer it can feel dense, although some people wear it precisely in August in air-conditioned settings, where the darkness of the base takes on a different meaning.
One spray on the neck and another on the inner wrist is enough — MOA is one of those perfumes where more means losing, not gaining, because its density projects on its own. It lasts 8 to 10 hours on skin; on clothes it can still be noticed the next day. It works very well with formal dress: a long dinner, an evening event, a professional function at the end of the day.

What exactly does it smell like?

Fantástica experiencia. Es el cuarto perfume que compro en OK, y estoy gratuitamente sorprendido por lo parecido al original. Incluso me atrevo a decir que en sste caso, de MOA, con mayor profundidad y duración. Un 10!!
Como se puede ver en la foto YSL M7 es uno de mis perfumes fetiche. Cierto es que está bastante reformulado y no es el que salió cuando Tom Ford era director creativo de YSL, pero luego lanzaron el M7 oud absolu que en esencia era lo mismo con naranja o mandarina. MOA replica muy pero que muy bien a esta fragancia. Sale con personalidad, estilo y profundidad. El oud se siente muy ligero, civilizado y muy occidental, el pachulí está dando carácter y la mandarina se despliega y está presente continuamente y yo diría que es el complemento perfecto y el punto distintivo.
La duración es bastante buena aunque los primeros días era justita pero tras una semana oxigenándose ha mejorado ostensiblemente y espero lo siga haciendo en las próximas semanas.
