The fragrance
FRY is not just another gourmand. Where most vanillas on the market start from sugar and build from there, this one begins with contrast: a crisp hit of ginger and a stroke of anise that, for the first few minutes, almost read like a citrus perfume. The opening feels fresh, spicy and full-bodied — not the typical start of a vanilla.
Beneath that first layer the almond begins to emerge. It is the key piece of the composition: creamy, slightly bitter, with an echo of amaretto that evokes a cocktail glass more than a bakery. This is where the perfume makes sense — the almond acts as a hinge between the freshness of the ginger and the weight of the base.
And the base is where it truly settles. A concentrated vanilla, with no added sugar, held up by a barely sketched leather that gives it texture without turning it dark. The original, in perspective
Fantasmagory is the latest launch in Louis Vuitton's Les Extraits collection, signed by Jacques Cavallier-Belletrud, the perfumer who has been behind the maison's creations for decades. It is sold exclusively in LV boutiques and on its official website, in a 100 ml bottle designed by the architect Frank Gehry. The price: 545 € a bottle.
FRY is not Fantasmagory. It is an honest alternative — the same olfactory structure, the same dominant notes, the same overall feel — made in Spain, without the layers of packaging, marketing and boutique that justify the price of the original. The difference between one bottle and the other is 515 € for 100 ml. The choice is yours.
When and how
FRY works best from the afternoon onwards, when the warmth of your skin brings out the creaminess of the almond and the vanilla gains body. In autumn and winter it is at its best — the cold makes the leather in the base stand out more. In summer it works if you apply it with a light hand and pick cooler moments: a late dinner, a fresh evening, a night out somewhere with air conditioning.
For balanced projection, two sprays are enough: one on the neck and one on the inner wrist. If you fancy layering, FRY pairs well with darker vanillas (TBV) or more defined leathers — layer them and the result gains depth without becoming overwhelming.

What exactly does it smell like?

Primero quiero agradecer a Ok perfumes por traernos estas fragancias, ya que las originales solo podemos encontrarlas en las boutiques de LV y a precio muy altos para los mortales de a pie.
Dicho esto, el perfumes me a encantado! Tiene un olor a vainilla mezclada con almendras súper cremoso, y además con un punto empolvado. Si bien es cierto que es Unisex, tira levemente hacia lo femenino, pero ánimo a todos los hombres a probarla, por q a nosotros nos queda genial también!
No conozco el aroma de la original, pero esta es increíble, nos es un beast mode, pero se hace notar mucho tiempo!
